WHO I AM:
I am a daughter, sister, wife and mother of two cocker spaniels (Mille and Harper). I was born in Mississippi and moved to Nashville in the late 90’s to work in the music industry, where I worked for 15 years. I started professionally shooting photos in 2012 and after being around creative people everyday, they inspired and encouraged me to take a leap of faith to pursue my own creative path. I want to photograph your life’s special moments, from engagements, to weddings, to a newborn shoot, to an 80th birthday party. When I look back and remember a specific event or time in my life, I remember the details, so that’s what I hope to capture for you. From the centerpiece at party table, to the ribbon in your hair or the Chuck Taylor’s you’re wearing, I will capture the small but important details. Through my photos, I hope to take you back in time on a journey that reminds you of just how special that moment in your life truly was.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
I’m an on location photographer, so that means my office is whatever location we chose for your shoot, be it your home, a local park, or a studio. I love to travel, so don’t feel restricted because I’m located in the Middle Tennessee. If you like what I do and live far away, let’s talk because I’m sure we can figure something out so I can come to you!. When I take photos, I want to create an experience that you remember and look back on knowing you had a lot of fun, and you laughed a lot. Gone are the days of stuffy studios and serious photos. I’m not into pose-y photos. I want to capture true emotion, an actual smile or an infectious laugh. As we say to the kids I care for at church, the most important rule is to HAVE FUN!
SOME MORE INFO ABOUT ME:
I want you to feel that you know me when we meet, so here’s a little bit more about who I am. I’m a follower of Jesus, and I hope that His love shines through me in everything I do. As a girl born and raised in the South I have a true affinity for all things Southern. In fact, my favorite movies are all set in the South, “Gone With The Wind,” “The Help” and “O Brother Where Art Thou.” Now as much as I love the South, I do love to travel and I love experiencing other cultures and the people that make those cultures so diverse. Italy is by far my favorite place to visit and in fact, my husband proposed to me in my favorite Italian city, Florence. My family is OBSESSED with playing dominoes. I especially love to play dominoes when we go home to Mississippi to visit my big southern family. My family and friends mean the world to me and always come first. I have been so blessed in my life, mainly by the people in it and the experiences I have shared with them.
Thank you so much for stopping by my page. I hope we get to work together, and I look forward to hearing from you.
